Our CNC machines are capable of producing strong, highly accurate parts from a very wide range of materials including:
- Wood – Hardwoods and softwoods
- Plastics – Virtually any solid Engineering plastics including ABS, Delrin, PVC, and Nylon
- Acrylic – Most shapes and sizes of acrylic block sheet and rod
- Aluminum – 6061 and other alloys, as well as other soft metals like copper and brass
Our ShopBot Buddy is our medium-scale production workhorse in the IoT Design Shop. With a table size of around 32″ x 48″, it is an excellent platform for cutting out “big ideas” or for tiling up a bunch of smaller parts for short run production.
Our Buddy has been hot-rodded to carry a 208V 5hp Columbo Spindle capable of 24,000 RPM and can cut wood, plastics, acrylic, and aluminum.
